| Baosteel to cut October CR steel price - Trade sources - 26 Aug, 2008 | ||

According to Trade sources, Baoshan Iron and Steel Co Ltd will cut its sales prices for cold rolled steel products for October 2008 productions by CNY 300 per tonne. Trade sources said an easing of demand in the auto sector as a factor behind the decline in prices. They said the company will keep the prices of its hot rolled steel products and silicon steel unchanged. Other price changes mentioned by the sources are as follows: 1. Deep-drawing quality steel down by CNY 200 per tonne 2. EG down by CNY 200 per tonne 3. HR PO down by CNY 300 per tonne 4. Shipbuilding quality plate up by CNY 300 per tonne 5. Common carbon plate up by CNY 100 per tonne. The above details are still subject to official confirmation by Baosteel. | ||
